IDEOS launch - UK

On 2nd September, Huawei IDEOS, the entry level pre-installed 2.2 Android handset, and E5s was launched in London. 15 media, including Bloomberg, Total Telecom and City AM attended the press conference. Briefings with BBC and Sunday Times were carried out beforehand, and telephone briefings with Metro and Mobile Magazine were also arranged.

Tim Watkins, Vice President of Western Europe, opened the briefing with an overview of Huawei’s strategy on smartphones and officially announced the launch of IDEOS. Nicola Philbin, Director,Terminals Sales UK & Ireland, for Huawei Device followed by giving the journalists a demo of IDEOS and its salient features. Overall, the event was a success and the coverage has been very positive.
