Huawei Brings to Japan Global Flagship Model Ascend (HW-01E)
Huawei Technologies Japan K.K. (hereafter referred to as Huawei Japan), announced today that it has developed the “Ascend" series for NTT DoCoMo Inc. (hereafter referred to as NTT DoCoMo) customized for the Japanese consumer market, which first appeared at the CES 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show - Mobile World Congress 2012 (MWC), and will start being sold as "Ascend HW-01E" under the DoCoMo with series this fall. It is scheduled to be launched in October or November this year.

The series name "Ascend", meaning "moving upward", is perfectly suited to a smartphone that encompasses Huawei's latest technologies and can make the quality of daily life better and richer for people who are constantly seeking to go one step higher than before.
HW-01E with a dual core 1.5GHz processor runs Andoroid4.0 and supports the fastest device activation in the world at 5 seconds*, fast camera activation and ultra high-speed Xi communication. With the 4.5 inch high definition screen, "user-friendly high speed" operability for operations such as flick operations, browsing and camera functions can be enjoyed without stress. The design emphasizes the form fit (comfort) when held in your hand and comes in two colors: pearl white and matte black.
In addition, the camera is equipped with a 13.1 megapixel back side illumination high-sensitivity sensor with Huawei's unique noise reduction technology that promises brilliant and beautiful results even in a dark environment or when taking pictures against the sun. Various camera modes including the group mode, which can capture the best shot for all of the subjects when shooting a picture of a group of people, and the beauty mode, which emphasizes the eyes and lips to beautify the subject like a model, can be enjoyed.
Despite the fact that this series will be introduced in Japan for the first time, it supports NOTTV in addition to other well-known functions for Japanese users such as One-Seg and Osaifu-Keitai so that people who are considering purchasing a smartphone can now choose this series without worry.
